“Purifying the Soul” is an exhibition and performative project curated by Felicia Li of Vonmo creative studio. The initiative is divided into two moments at Lanng Space and Lanjing Art Center in Beijing (22-27 February 2023).
The piece selected for the exhibition resembles a robust weave of seaweed. A bracelet that, like seaweed in the sea, embraces and lets itself be embraced by the salty and tickling waves. Algae, like all plant organisms, do not injure themselves in this game, but generate fragments of potential new life in the form of so-called cuttings.
